This is a process called "forced aging" accomplished through a leather stain applied in varying thicknesses and pre-moistened leather. The water prior to the dye along with the friction and a microfiber cloth really helps to darken the leather as it's stained.

This father and son pair, when together, is a barrel of laughs with their goofiness, and general ridiculousness! Seriously, sometimes my eyes hurt from rolling them too frequently at their dad-joke humor!

What makes your dad special? Does he tell the best dad jokes? Maybe heā€™s a master-barbecue dad or an ā€œIā€™m-not-crying-youā€™re-cryingā€- but-heā€™s-definitely-crying while watching Moana Dad. Does he always check your tire pressure when you come visit, or provide you with constant updates about the weather when youā€™re traveling?

My dad is a pun master. Seriously though there is nothing my dad can't make a pun from. But the thing I appreciate the most these days is his willingness to always have my back. Don't get me wrong, he challenges me, and can drive me crazy, but his unending support is incredible.

My dad is as quirky as they come, I mean hell, he's willing to make videos with me demonstrating and talking about my new blacksmithing bottle-opener design.

This Fatherā€™s Day make sure you let your dad know that you care, whether that is doing something unique like taking a blacksmithing class, or as simple as having a cool drink in the backyard enjoying the breeze.

Imagine the look on your dad's face when instead of a gift from a big box store, you explain that together ya'll will be taking a blacksmithing bottle opener class together. That in this class you will forge, using nothing but a hammer, anvil, fire and grit, the most unique and memorable father's day present he has ever received from you.
Classes are 2 hours long, are in a well ventilated room and class size will be kept small. Beginners welcome.

Classes are open again!
Looking for a new hobby during quarantine? Consider learning blacksmithing like this traveling Texan who found his way to San Antonio on his biking trip.

"First off Kyle was extremely friendly and welcoming, secondly the guy knows his stuff and knows how to convey what he knows in an easy to understand way. I've always been interested in blacksmithing and after taking his class it is definitely something I would like to learn more about. This was the highlight of my trip and I highly recommend everyone give him a try. When the world stops turning blacksmithing will get it going again!"

I've seen these inspirational signs around town and love the message. Like a phoenix from the ashes, we will fly again.

We may have fallen but we wont be kept down.

We will rise! We will rise together!

Classes are officially back in session!!!!

Blacksmithing, welding and leather craft are all available.

Classes will be kept small.
