04/09/2019
As we move into 2nd quarter 2019 I want to provide an update.
First thing, I will be letting the website go down. It doesn’t currently make sense to have unnecessary expenses while I am not being profitable. Going forward what inventory I have will be posted here.
Which leads me to the next thing, since I am depending on an external source to cut parts and bc my part quantities are small potatoes to his other customers I plan to order inventory in quantities from him, build up parts, sell that inventory and then restock.
What this also means is that the products I will have available will be limited to the “legacy” type stuff such as our front mounts and other important pieces for 4wd conversions on 1 tons. So this means, I can’t take on any custom order type stuff or 1 off applications. It also means this will be slowing down development on other planned parts I had wanted to do by a lot.
This is the only path I can see taking at this current time so I can still provide parts and maintain quality and not get swamped with orders. I am a one man show now and truthfully this will become more of a hobby business for the time being until I can get everything reorganized.
When I started this I had planned to eventually turn it into something I put all my time and focus into but with the split in December, this is just how it will have to be for the time being.
I apologize if this disappoints all my loyal customers and friends I have made with this but I don’t want to give my chance to screw anything up.
Things to take away are that I am not giving up, I am just planning to attack it differently. If things go as I hope then I will always try and maintain the inventory to meet the need but if people would prefer to put their hard earned money elsewhere I can completely understand. The $ I earn will be used to try and bring this business back because I know I can supply a good product and I know you guys will appreciate it and support it.
I still plan to build a new building and get Cut Brothers the tools it needs to make parts again just with me taking on a new position in the company I work for and the possibility that I may be building a new house in the near future I’d hate to come back and have to move Cut Brothers all over again.
I hope this answers all the lingering questions but if not feel free to ask away in the comments below. I will still maintain this page and responses as well as responses from the official email [email protected]
Thanks everyone and I hope you all have a happy Easter.
