ICYMI, Kohanaiki recently announced their implementation of the FireFly AMP-L100 on their championship golf course on the Big Island of Hawaii. This was the first deployment in the Hawaiian Islands, immediately followed by Mid-Pacific Country Club on the island of Oahu.
Luke Bennett, Director of Golf Course Maintenance and Grounds: “At Kohanaiki, we are always looking for ways to elevate the experience we deliver to our members while honoring our responsibility to the land and to Hawaiʻi. The FireFly Automatix AMP-L100 allows us to do both, maintaining impeccable fairway conditions with greater efficiency and a significantly reduced environmental footprint. We are proud to bring this technology to the Hawaiian Islands for the first time.”
Kohanaiki’s private golf course, the only Rees Jones design in the state, stretches 7,400 yards along Hawaii's Kona Coast, carved into the island's black lava fields.
The property was recently awarded Gold Signature Sanctuary Certification from Audubon International, earned for implementing extraordinary sustainable design, construction, and long-term ecological management. The all-electric FireFly fairway mowers are the perfect complement to Kohanaiki's commitment to protecting the environment.
