Groundbreaking News from Downtown Ogden ✨🎉

Last Friday marked a moment as we celebrated the groundbreaking of the much-anticipated Wonderblock project! This unique, mixed-use development, a public/private venture with Ogden City and J. Fisher Companies, is set to redefine downtown Ogden - blending residential spaces, retail, office services, food and beverage outlets, and hospitality into a vibrant community hub.

Designed with the vision of the "Make Ogden" Downtown Master Plan, Wonderblock is not just a development; it's a leap towards creating a thriving, interconnected downtown. The goal is to craft a distinctive sense of place that beckons visitors from across the region, fostering special events and daily activities in our stunning public spaces. As someone who grew up in Ogden and just moved back, I can attest to how important this project is for the community and am so excited about it!

We're incredibly proud to be part of this transformative journey. Wonderblock is more than just buildings; it's about community, heritage, and a bright future for Ogden.

We are excited to be a part of this transformative project! Not only will the Green Loop greatly expand the amount of green space within walking distance to Salt Lake residents, it also aims to connect the east and west sides of the city via the 9 Line (another Talisman endeavor) and Folsom Trail.

West-siders could get better access to the the heart of Salt Lake City if the Green Loop comes to fruition.

Salt Lake City residents have expressed the desire for more trails, parks, and green spaces in multiple city plans, studies, and surveys over recent years. As more people call downtown home, the need for improved public green spaces and shade increases, as does the need for more comfortable transportation options for short trips without a car. Salt Lake City is exploring a concept to improve the quality of life for people living, working, and traveling downtown by adapting the existing street space to include more trees, shade, and comfortable options for a variety of transportation choices. Green spaces also provide critical ecosystem services and contribute to a more resilient city by managing stormwater, reducing the heat island, and improving air quality.

Wenk Associates is leading a multidisciplinary team to provide community engagement, planning and design services for the SLC Green Loop project. The full extent of the Green Loop is approximately 5.5 miles long and covers 32-36 blocks. It will loop along the rights-of-ways of 200 East, 900 South, 500 West and North Temple. The project will enhance the physical, mental, and social health of urban residents, improve transportation choices for residents and visitors, and spur sustainable growth.
