The junkyard dog says we will be open regular hours on New Year’s Eve. 8-11:30 and 1:00-4:30. Put those college kids hanging around on break to work and send them in for some party cash!

Be safe celebrating the incoming year, we still would like to see you in 2026!

In that light, we will be closed New Years Day. We suspect some of our staff might be a little weak bringing in 2026.

BFR Metals will be closing Christmas Eve at 11:00 AM and will be closed Christmas Day. We will be back to work on Friday the 26th!

We hope that you and yours have a Merry Christmas!

Be safe in your travels, enjoy the season and the warmth of family and friends.

If your young ones are bored, have them clean up your loose metal and send them in Friday! Hey! We might as well take advantage of that free labor! It's not really free, we have plenty invested in them.

This is a big switch from years past, we traditionally took the weekend off.

BFR Metals will be closed Monday September 1st for the Labor Day Holiday. Be a shame to have to work on Labor Day! Actually, some of us would like to work for the pay, but it takes a whole crew to run the place.

BFR Metals will be closed Friday July 4th in observance of Independence Day. It is tempting to close July 5th, but we will be here on that fine Saturday. Enjoy the day with your friends and families, remember to be safe and see us all after the big celebration, still sporting all of your fingers and thumbs.

He a great holiday! Remember that this was a declaration of Independence from the laws and taxation of King George III. He had an attitude adjustment coming and we gave it to him!

BFR Metals will be closed Monday May 26 for the Memorial Holiday. We will be open regular hours otherwise.

The copper and aluminum markets remain strong. The steel market is down a little. Get your spring clean up done and cash in!

BFR Metals will be closed Christmas Day we may close early Christmas Eve if there is little business. We will be open until at least noon Christmas Eve.

We will have the same schedule for New Year's Day.

Enjoy the season, be close to those you love, rejoice in all that has been given to us.

The markets are good, iron is down right now. The markets have been on wobbly knees lately, President Trump has once again applied tariffs to the Chinese, that is tough on the scrap industry, but I suspect better for the country. It is a good time to sell if you have been hoarding, these prices may be awhile returning.

BFR Metals will close at the regular time Wednesday November 27th and be closed Thursday November 28th through Sunday December 1st. We will open again Monday morning, December 2nd at our regular time.

Hopefully this will give our employees a much needed break and a chance to spend time with their families and friends.

We hope you all have a peaceful Thanksgiving and are safe in your travels.

BFR Metals will be open Saturday August 31st until 11:00 AM, We will be closed Monday September 2nd for Labor Day. We may be short handed Saturday, August 31st, so if possible, we would like to ask that customers do not wait until the last minute to come in.

The markets are all on shaky ground right now. Iron has taken it's usual drop in anticipation of the mills shutting down in September for maintenance. Aluminum has been steadily dropping and the copper market is down a dollar from it's recent record high.

We have seen much lower markets in all three of our basic products, so get it in while you can.

Be safe all, enjoy the holiday weekend, we will be looking forward to your return on Tuesday the 3rd when we will resume regular hours.

BFR Metals will be closed Thursday July 4th for the Independence Day Holiday. BOO-boom-bang-bang-smoke in the air day. Hopefully our staff can partake in some friends and family fun with the extra day off.

The markets have been wild recently, copper made a mad run and set new record high prices then proceeded to drop 70 cents. Not long ago, the catalytic converter world was on fire, rhodium reached 30,000 dollars! It is currently trading in the 4,500 dollar range. Palladium has fallen, trading below the platinum market. Iron has seen a steady decline, aluminum is mildly recovering.

Be safe next week, it is supposed to get dangerously hot again, avoid heavy work in the heat of the day and consume plenty of fluids, we hope to see you all on the other side of the holiday!

BFR Metals will be closed Monday May 27th for the Memorial Day Holiday. We will resume regular hours on Tuesday May 28th. Keep your heads low, they say this could be a little rough this weekend weather wise!

BFR Metals will be closed for the Thanksgiving weekend! Four days off to enjoy family and friends. We will be open regular hours on Wednesday November 22nd and then closed until Monday November 27th.

Remember, make a turkey happy and eat ham.... Seriously though, we hope everybody has a safe and pleasant holiday break.
