In collaboration with the Oregon State Board of Architect Examiners (OSBAE) and the Oregon Building Codes Division (BCD), the 2024 Reference Manual for Building Officials has been updated and published. You can find this Twelfth Edition on our website under the Public Resources page where it can be viewed online or downloaded.

The OSBEELS staff team is made up of 12 members who, just like you, are human beings working to safeguard life, health, and property. We’d like to introduce you to the faces behind the work we do.

Meet Rob, one of our knowledgeable and efficient Investigators. We have two Investigators on our team who receive, track, and investigate complaints relating to potential violations of certain rules and statutes. The public's welfare is our priority!

Last week we presented to the CTE class at Crossler Middle School on the variety of disciplines within the Engineering and Surveying professions. We had the kids break up into small groups and design something that solves a problem, and they did not disappoint. Here are some of the ideas these future professionals came up with.

A massive THANK YOU to West Coast - Get Kids Into Survey for sharing so many resources and goodies!! The kids loved the stickers and worksheets, and their classroom has a new poster 😊

We'll also leave you with one of the best jokes we've heard, that was thought of on the spot by one of the students:
