I get so many questions about my OAS Mobility Air Pro, and I think a lot of it comes from people not realizing that mobility aids aren’t “all or nothing.”

I’m an ambulatory wheelchair user, which means I can walk some — but not in a way that allows me to safely exist outside my home for long. My wheelchair isn’t optional for me when I leave the house, it’s what makes it possible.

And that shift mentally is huge.

It’s not about giving up independence… it’s what gives me independence back.

There are so many little things that matter in real life — being able to load it easily, it fitting in the car without a whole process, not constantly stressing about battery life when I’m out with my kids. Those details are what actually make something usable day-to-day.

Thank you, Whitney, for sharing your real-life experience with the Air Ultra. “I'm so grateful for some recent improvements in symptom severity that allow me the ability to sit upright in a wheelchair and get out of the house. Mobility aids give freedom! However, for many people with severe and very severe Myalgic Encephalomyelitis, sitting upright in a wheelchair is not possible.

I was able to access lochs, mountains and standing stones thanks to the OAS Air Ultra... And thanks to lots of rest, pacing, medications, and a spouse who is also a caregiver. I have a class 3 power chair, but the size and weight makes traveling difficult without my specialized van. The Air Ultra is just 36 pounds and folds easily, making it great for air travel. Different aids for different days makes the world much more accessible for me!
