🔎 Foundation Crack Inspection – Tallahassee, FL

A homeowner recently contacted MBP Engineering & Consulting after noticing cracking in their garage slab, driveway, and foundation stem wall.

Cracks in concrete can be alarming, especially when they appear to run across large portions of a slab. Our engineering team performed a structural observation to determine whether the cracking indicated a serious structural concern.

After a full site inspection, the cracking observed was found to be consistent with typical slab-on-grade movement and localized settlement commonly associated with soil movement and long-term settlement.

✔️ No significant structural failure observed
✔️ No structural distress noted in the wood-framed structure above
✔️ Recommended improvements include drainage management and monitoring of existing cracks
