About
Hi, my name is Joseph Stout. I’m the owner and CEO here at Midwest WaterScape Creations. I want to take a minute to interduce myself and give you background info on who I am. I would like to thank you for your interest and taking the time to get to know my company and me. I have been happily married for the last 14 years, and have 5 children.
After serving on active duty in the United States Army for four years, I received an honorable discharge in October of 2009. I joined the army reserves in 2010 and served 3.5 years. Upon leaving active duty, I was diagnosed with PTSD, anxiety, and depression. From 2009 to 2016, I bounced around through a handful of jobs and completed a 2-year associate’ degree in computer systems and Network technology. One thing I learned is I don’t like sitting at a desk all day.
In 2017 VA place me on unemployability. Since then I used my time to work with the VA to get the surgeries that I needed and to find my real passion. I love building stuff, being creative, and working with my hands. I have always loved water, being around water and in water. Then while working on my pool filtration, I found Aquascape. Aquascape is the leading pond and water feature manufacturing company in the country. With 28 years designing and installing water features and 25 years producing water feature equipment. That’s when I realized this is what I was supposed to be doing.
