We just got our Okanagan Softwood Pellets stacked heavy and ready to roll, but I know what some of you are thinking. I hear it at the counter all the time: "Shouldn't I be burning hardwood?"
Now look, it makes perfect sense why you'd ask. Anyone who's swung an axe knows a good hardwood log burns longer in a traditional stove. But when it comes to manufactured pellets, it's a whole different ballgame. Softwood pellets like these Okanagans are packed with natural tree resins, which means they actually burn hotter and pump out higher BTUs than hardwood pellets. Even better? They burn wicked clean, so you’ll be scraping out that ash pan a whole lot less when January rolls around.
Don't let the frost catch you unprepared. Grab 'em by the bag to keep the hopper full, or pull the rig around and load up a whole pallet for a fairly decent price break.
Stay warm out there!
