This nation may have its differences. The people its own opinions. We don’t have to agree with each other but, when it comes down to standing together this nation base foundation stands strong as one. President Reagan stated in his Independence Day speech “Divine plan this nation was placed between the two oceans to be sought out and found by those with a special brand of courage and love of freedom.” Today let’s remember our freedoms that we have the rights to practice every day and night. Good morning everyone, this afternoon into evening there is a significant risk of severe weather including chances of tornadoes. Storm system is same system that has generated tornado producing storms in the plain states. Thou not as strong still great chance especially Lansing south. Also risk of strong winds and hail. Storms will gain their fuel from day time heating. Best chances of the severe weather will be around 4pm to 9pm but probably 5-7pm in our area. Storms will also hit early in day but just rain and few thunderstorms but nothing severe is expected. Stay alert to the possibility of sudden changes in weather.

Oh good ol Mother Nature vs Michigan tomorrow folks. When most are thinking spring break, Mother Nature was like “hold my beverage” moment. Below is the latest from NWS for the spring snow storm. Gratiot Co north to Alma n Mt. Pleasant area could see the most but can’t rule out the northern edges of the counties in the warning areas seeing a little more than expected. If don’t need to travel don’t! Stay safe everyone

Hey ready folks next 24 hrs gonna be interesting for us! Two chances of severe weather yes folks severe weather in February. Best chances will be late Tuesday evening. Strong winds and hail most likely but can’t rule out a possible tornado especially southern sections. Then back side Wednesday temps drop and snow moves back in. Stay safe n prepared folks!

Here is a detailed breakdown from the NWS:

* Chance for storms early Tuesday morning
* Main timing: Tuesday 3 - 9 a.m.
* Expected hazards: Hail to 1 Inch
* Better chance for strong storms Tuesday night
* Main timing: 7 p.m. Tuesday - 2 a.m. Wednesday
* Expected hazard: Wind gusts to 60 mph and hail to 1 Inch
* Storms are possible everywhere, but the best environment for the strongest storms is the I-96 corridor and southward.

Stay safe and home if you can during the winter storm. Also, many people go into sudden cardiac arrest while attempting to shovel snow. If you fall under a risky category, don’t be afraid to ask for help from a neighbor, family, friends or possibly a company that handles snow removal. If you do decide to shovel take your time and go at a place fit for you. Have someone watch over you as a just in case. If during or after shoveling you experience the signs and symptoms of heart attack such as chest pain, left arm pain, difficulty breathing and back pain that doesn’t feel like a strain call 911. Wind chills will also be into the single to negative digits as well so bundle up. Avoid traveling if you can, but if you must then make sure you have a safety kit with the supplies to get you by till help arrives. Also, make sure cell phones are charged before heading out to be able to call for help.
