This was a fun one at the beautiful Greenwood Plantation and quite the dilemma...

Problem

Create a separation between public space and private in this beautiful home used for touring and private events with private living space in the floors above without major construction and barely any structural support. Enough to deter entry when needed but function well day to day. Also making it easily removable for future movie filming...

Solution

We worked with the lovely clients to brainstorm options, would it be a door or gate? Then we found inspo images of some beautiful pieces we loved and custom designed this beautiful gate to hopefully add to the eclectic beauty and elegance of the space. We decided to construct out of aluminum to make it as light as possible and avoid sagging over time. This allowed us to use this stunning antique brass patina to create a antiqued aged finish and make it look like a piece plucked out of a garden.
