Some buildings demand more than a standard approach. This one demanded precision from every angle. 👀

When Billmans Cool Roofing Co. took on the USCG Bauer Building 544 in Petaluma, California, the project called for metal roofing that could follow three distinct radii while maintaining the precision and clean finish expected of a high-performance standing seam system.

The result? 6,000 square feet of precision-formed, 24-gauge standing seam metal panels working seamlessly with EXCEPTIONAL® Metals HT Underlayment and custom-fabricated perimeter details to create a complete, compatible roofing system.

It’s the kind of project where the details matter, the tolerances are tight and craftsmanship makes all the difference.

That’s why we’re proud to recognize Billmans Cool Roofing Co. with the 2025 Metal Roofing Project Award for this exceptional work.

Vegas, you were EXCEPTIONAL. 🔥

That’s a wrap on the 2026 Western Roofing Expo, and our team is heading home with plenty of great conversations, new connections and ideas to take with us.

One of our favorite parts of WRE is getting out from behind the desk and talking shop with the contractors and roofing professionals who know this industry best. Hearing what you’re seeing in the field, learning about emerging trends and talking through the challenges facing commercial roofing gives our team a whole lot to think about.

We also loved having the opportunity to pull back the curtain on what’s happening behind the scenes at EXCEPTIONAL® Metals and share some of the new ideas, solutions and developments our team has been working on.

A huge thank-you to everyone who stopped by the EXCEPTIONAL Metals booth and spent some time with us. We appreciate the conversations, the questions, the feedback and the connections.

WRE may be over, but we’re already looking forward to putting those conversations to work!
