Cooper has been a great addition to the Royalston Fire Department. He brings all his skills from his other job where he was just promoted. We are lucky to have him and use his skills to help serve our own community. Congratulations Cooper Sonnabend!

Early Monday morning, Royalston’s Large Animal Rescue Team responded mutual aid to the Rindge–Ashburnham town line for an injured horse in the roadway. Members assisted the on-scene veterinarian along with Rindge and Ashburnham Fire and Police.

Join us tomorrow night at the Royalston Fire Departmet 7pm for our annual turkey raffle, there are many great raffles to be won while supporting our association! If you can’t make it we do have these raffle tickets available! $5 per chance for 1 cord green fire wood $5 per chance for a ton of wood pellets and $2 per chance for a chance at 2 Thanksgiving baskets! Personnel from the Royalston Fire Department and Warwick fire department took part in auto extrication training last night, with appreciation to Dan Eaton for organizing the exercise and Dales Towing for supplying vehicles.

At St Laurent campground, members took part in a simulated fire drill, where Engine 3 initiated pumping operations upon arrival, and Engine 2 drafted water from the pond to supply Engine 3, giving new members the opportunity to hone their pump operation skills and build the muscle memory necessary for responding effectively to actual emergencies. The Royalston fire department looks forward every year to training night at the campground which gives some residents the chance to watch us in action in a non emergency setting.
