Talbert began harvesting timber for a sawmill. The brothers founded Roxboro, NC, based Talbert & Talbert Lumber Company in the 1950s. In 1983, Edd’s son Danny added a retail store that became Talbert Building Supply, Inc. Since then, we have added branches in Durham, Clarksville, VA, Asheboro, Clemmons, and Danville, VA.
