📚🐄 First Day at MSU🐄📚
Today we officially welcomed our largest freshman class since the ANS Dairy Concentration was established at Michigan State University in 2022.

This record‑breaking class of 28 students brings exceptional enthusiasm and a deep commitment to growing their knowledge of the dairy industry, while representing five different U.S. states. Today marks the start of an exciting year of learning, hands‑on dairy experiences, and community building for these students along with the nearly 50 other MSU Dairy Students who began classes today. Here’s to a great semester and an even brighter future for the next generation of dairy leaders.

I spent some time with Tim kelly and Doug Lloyd at De Saegher Dairy this morning.

Tim and I have been working with Bart De Saegher on getting their second Anaerobic Digester permit from EGLE. So they can harness more natural gas to heat our homes with their 1000+ cow operation.

Doug is well aware of the problems farmers are facing with EGLE, and will work to fight department overreach so that operations like De Saegher have less costly red tape holding their business back. 🐄🐄🐄
