At Bayview Park, the City of Key West -- Government is investing in a major park redevelopment designed to serve residents and visitors of all ages, and Romtec is proud to be part of it.

As part of the project, we are designing and supplying a combined restroom building and 507 sq. ft. tennis pro shop, positioned directly alongside the park’s five resurfaced tennis courts.

This new facility will support programs, lessons, camps, and tournaments, helping activate the space and create a hub for community recreation.

The building includes:
Multiuser restrooms
Dedicated tennis pro shop space
Storage and mechanical rooms
Durable exterior materials designed for long-term performance

Beyond the building, this project contributes to a broader transformation of Bayview Park into a multi-generational community destination with upgraded courts, pathways, green space, and amenities.

We’re proud to help deliver facilities that support active lifestyles and bring communities together.

Sunny Square Park in New Brighton, MN is a great example of how thoughtful park redevelopment can improve everyday use for the entire community.
As part of a 7.5-acre park upgrade, this project introduced new amenities including updated trails, a playground, and a renovated sports field—supported by a centrally located restroom and picnic shelter designed for convenience and long-term durability.

The building combines two single-user restrooms with a covered picnic area, creating a reliable, easy-to-maintain space for families, events, and daily park visitors. A timber roof extension provides shade, while durable materials like CMU walls, fiber cement siding, and a metal roof ensure long-lasting performance.

By integrating essential facilities into the heart of the park, Sunny Square Park now better supports recreation, gatherings, and year-round use.

Travis had a great time during Hill Day advocating for parks and recreation with National Recreation and Park Association.

Together, they lifted up the importance of protecting natural spaces through greater investment in parks and recreation and ensuring every child has access to quality youth sports, no matter where they live.

Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District (THPRD) continues to invest in accessible, long-lasting park infrastructure across Oregon, with support from a multi-park restroom building project spanning several community parks.

Through this initiative, new permanent restroom facilities were delivered at Greenway Park, Hazeldale Park, and Schiffler Park, helping meet growing community needs and improve the overall park experience.

By utilizing a streamlined procurement approach through Sourcewell, THPRD was able to efficiently deliver turnkey restroom buildings designed, supplied, and constructed by Romtec.

Each structure was designed with durability and usability in mind, including ADA-compliant, single-user restrooms and vandal-resistant materials suited for high-traffic public environments.

This project reflects the value of a repeat partnership, building on previous successful collaborations to bring consistent, reliable park facilities to multiple locations.

Will you be at the Special Parks District Forum in Portland, OR? Romtec looks forward to joining you June 2nd for the Mt. View Champions Park Session and for dinner at Jenkins Estate.

Construction kicked off in July 2025 on an inclusive “home base” for the All-Stars Baseball and Buddy Baseball programs at Darryl F. Lindberg Park, a major step toward creating accessible, adaptable, and equitable recreation for children and adults with disabilities throughout the region.

Progress highlight: the pavilion structure is mostly up, and once complete, players and families will have:
- 4 ADA single-user, gender-neutral restrooms
- A covered pavilion with picnic tables, outlets, and a drinking fountain
- A storage room to support field operations
- Visible progress on two accessible dugouts with space for athletes who use wheelchairs

This project was made possible thanks to a $1 million anonymous donation, a $500,000 State of Illinois grant secured by Senator Dave Syverson, and $700,000 from the Rockford Park District capital funds. Schmeling Construction Co. is leading construction of the new adaptive fields.

Construction will be completed in multiple phases, with Phase 1 expected to be completed in 2026.

We’re excited for Buddy Baseball and All Stars families to have a one-of-a-kind place to play, and a true park hub built for everyone.
