Considering this material for your next project? Don’t.

When we explored thermally modifying Tauari, we tested it to see whether it could deliver the performance we expect from a thermally modified wood. It didn’t.

That’s why you won’t find it in the Lumber Plus lineup. And if you’re considering thermally modified Tauari for your next project, our advice is simple: think twice before you buy it.

Thermal modification isn’t a magic process that makes every species better. The species matters. The process matters. And, ultimately, the performance has to justify the product.

Our recommendation? Don’t gamble on thermally modified Tauari.

Go with the legitimate choice: Maximo Thermo, with proven species including Ayous, Ash, Clear Radiata, and Scandinavian.

Anything outside this lineup, you’re not guaranteed the result you’re paying for.

We have better solutions for you.
