How Wagner Began:
In the early 1960's, Delmer Wagner was a Pacific Northwest wood products electrician. Day after day he saw first-hand the problems that moisture caused in wood processing. He listened as management complained about measuring moisture using current technology. He knew that he could create a better system, one which would be easy to use, easy to calibrate and easy to interpret. T
his led to his design of the first solid-state, non-contact, in-line moisture detector. When customers asked for a hand-held moisture meter, which would offer the same accuracy and reliability of our larger in-plant systems, we developed the original Wagner, pin-free moisture meter. Today, our expanded line of hand-held moisture meters has become the worldwide standard for accuracy and reliability.
