This is a computed tomography X-ray scan of a Violin. The scan was done without the strings, pegs, bridge, tail piece and tail loop of the violin. You can see the wood grain structure and certain areas where an adhesive is used to bond the features together. You also see high density features (the white specs in the scan) that seem to be in the wood and possible areas of stress in the violin too.
