And we're off! The renovation for Pimlico Racetrack has started and our team is into the first leg of the race heading around the turn of this fabulous, finally happening, Baltimore project....

Residents in Baltimore's Park Heights neighborhood watched on as demolition at Pimlico Race Course began Thursday, July 24, as part of a $400 million project to revitalize the grandstand, barns, track, and clubhouse.

What a great day at the 2024 JDRF Real Estate Games to raise money for Juvenile Diabetes!! Our team was small, but mighty! Ran into some colleagues, made a few new colleagues/friends. Wonderful event. Next year we will do better, have a bigger team, and participate in more events.

The JDRF Real Estate Games (REG) is an annual fundraiser sponsored by the Washington DC area commercial real estate community to benefit the JDRF Mid-Atlantic Chapter. The commercial real estate industry has joined together to fund life-changing type 1 diabetes (T1D) research.

WFT teamed with JMT Architecture on this wonderful project for TU.

Serving as a dynamic inter professional lab for TU students while also promoting and enhancing health and wellness in the community, the new spaces for the IWB will provide much-needed capacity to continue expanding programming.
As part of her remarks, Dean Plowfield noted the IWB, "is one of the best gifts the state has provided our students in the College of Health Professions and our community. Our faculty, staff and students change the lives of families."

Towson University opened a new building Wednesday with plans to house expanded programs and add new ones.

Mechanical Design Engineers
WFT Engineering, Inc. (www.wfteng.com) has openings for experienced mechanical project managers/designers who can provide quality interior/tenant engineering design services for public and private sector clients. The successful candidates will be professional team players with a "can do" attitude and have exceptional English reading, writing and grammar skills, internet and computer skills, organizational abilities, present well, and be reliable. Office hours are flexible with remote work options. All candidates must be proficient with Word, Bluebeam, Revit, AutoCAD, and Trace 700. Responsibilities include design, specifications, and field survey. The successful candidates will have a minimum of 5 years active design experience, understand engineering fundamentals, have field experience, and be able to produce detailed construction documents, reports, and comment responses.
Minimum qualifications:
• 5+ years’ experience as a mechanical engineer/designer
• Experience with public and private sector projects
• Knowledge of codes and standards
• Experience developing performance-based solutions

Key Skills:
• Design and drafting of mechanical systems using Revit
• Coordination with other engineers/designers
• Manual and computer calculations
• Field verification of existing systems
• Preparation of project related correspondence
