Furuno is pleased to introduce the FAP-FU2000 Network Follow‑Up Steering Lever, a rugged, network‑based follow‑up control designed for use with the NavPilot 1000 IMO/Commercial Autopilot.

While the NavPilot 1000 supports traditional analog follow‑up levers, many customers have requested a network‑based solution that provides simple take‑over control and steering feedback directly at the lever. The FAP‑FU2000 addresses this need and is well-suited for bridge wings, secondary steering stations, and maneuvering locations that require quick, confident control.

Using all the information a connected NXT Radar and TimeZero Navigation Software TZ MAPS provides, AI Avoidance Routing instantly provides a safe route around hazards and vessels that cross your path.

With AI Avoidance Routing active, dynamic icons are automatically created for targets with the highest probability of collision, ensuring the captain has the information needed to maintain safe distances when passing.

Vessels near your course will show up as a rectangular pill, and will turn red if a collision is possible. Once this occurs, AI Avoidance Routing will give you a suggested Avoidance Route to go around the obstacle or collision course.

Furuno has achieved the world's first successful remote annual performance test (“APT”) of the voyage data recorder (“VDR”) for a ship under the ClassNK, using our remote monitoring & troubleshooting platform HermAce.
HermAce was previously approved as an alternative to VDR APT for Marshall Islands, Panama and Liberia-flagged vessels under the ClassNK, and can be used for remote APT. This time, we have successfully conducted the VDR APT remotely for the 107,450-ton Panama-flagged bulk carrier, “SOUTHERN CROSS”. The outcome of this operation has increased our anticipation for the widespread adoption of digital technologies.
