We’re excited to be representing Paddock at the Great Game of Business Conference in St. Louis, Missouri this week!

This year’s theme, “Gateway to Potential,” was all about unlocking new possibilities, challenging ourselves to think bigger, and discovering the potential within our teams and our businesses.

Our Paddock team had an incredible time connecting with fellow industry leaders, learning from inspiring speakers, sharing ideas, and celebrating the people who make our organization what it is.

Completed earlier this summer, Rainbow City’s new 40,620-square-foot Recreation Center officially celebrated its opening on June 11, bringing a new destination for recreation, athletics and community connection to the area.

Paddock was proud to partner with Burleson Pool Company Inc. on the aquatic facility, supplying our R300 Top Grate Gutter system along with a Horizontal Fiberglass Filter, starting platforms, railing, and additional deck equipment.

These finished project photos are especially rewarding after getting a behind-the-scenes look at the build last summer, when the construction team was hard at work installing the Paddock gutter system.

to April 1, 1956 and an issue of In the Swim — Paddock’s original industry mailer.

Even then, Paddock was helping prove that a pool didn’t have to be a rectangle. This feature highlighted the Jack Tar Motel pool in Galveston, Texas, along with a custom pool shape that showed just how much creativity was possible in aquatic design.

70 years later, that same idea still drives us.

Paddock has long been a go-to for bringing unique pool shapes and ambitious designs to life. Today, our stainless steel gutter systems have opened even more possibilities — from sweeping curves and true radiuses to complex custom configurations that give designers the freedom to think beyond the traditional pool.

At Manorhaven Pool in New York, we had the opportunity to work alongside longtime partner Norberto Construction on a major renovation featuring a custom radius gutter system designed to fit the existing pool geometry.

Norberto Construction and Paddock have worked together across generations, combining field experience, technical collaboration, and custom manufacturing to help bring complex aquatic projects to life.

Paddock HDPE gutter grating is available in two standard colors, White and Dolphin Gray, as well as two premium color options, Slate Gray and Tuscan. Each can be paired with one of our three upgraded grating patterns—Flow, Surge, or Wave—to complete the character of the space.

We also offer integrated inlaid depth markers, providing a durable, long-lasting alternative to traditional surface-applied signage.

Paddock also manufactures stainless steel deck drain that allows you to match perfectly your gutter and deck drain grating.

For projects with unique architectural or branding requirements, custom colors may be available for select applications at an additional charge.

What does the future of the community pool look like?

For Paddock Construction, one trend is becoming increasingly clear: as property and construction costs rise, YMCAs and other community facilities are finding more creative ways to do more within a single aquatic space.
