The Rochester Outreach Center History

The Rochester Outreach Center began as a dream of Soul Harbor Christian Fellowship and Pastor Dale DePeel.

Envisioning a Christ centered community in which every person, regardless of disadvantage, is connected to the support and resources they need to beat their odds, contribute in community, and redirect their future. Soul Harbor’s primary mission has always been reaching the people who need a second chance. Through a series of events 10,000 square feet became available essentially for free at 2450

Marion Rd SE. The Rochester Outreach Center began as a facility simply to house like-minded ministries. Rochester Outreach Center moved in October 1, 2011. It has been exciting to see God at work and the open doors that we keep walking through. We have been able to paint the common space and all of the offices. We now have 7 confirmed ministries that want to have an office at our site. Literally, hundreds of hours have been donated by volunteers in the last two months. On November 5, 2011 the Rochester Outreach Center took delivery of a semi trailer full of donated office equipment. The donation included over 100 office chairs, filing cabinets, learning tables on wheels, and 200 assembly chairs, among a host of other items. We were able to convert the donation into over $4,000 by selling the office equipment to local businesses. In addition, all of the offices have been supplied with donated office equipment which includes a desk, 2 drawer filing cabinet, work chair, and an extra chair. As the vision continued to develop, it was decided that the like-minded ministries should be limited to those ministries that provide help for those folks who need assistance. This vision will continue to evolve as the Lord leads us into Great New opportunities!

This shelf is normally full of blankets for our unhoused neighbors, and with the cooler nights beginning to set in, we are receiving more and more requests from these individuals for blankets. If you have blankets you would be willing to part with, or if you are able to make blankets, please consider donating them to The Salvation Army.

If you have supported the ROC in the past, and/or have been blessed by Pastor Dale Depeel, we are currently searching for a used vehicle for our long-time, Executive Director, Pastor, Friend, Mentor, Dale to aid in his/our outreach in Our communities!
If you are considering selling your vehicle, our budget has been approved... so please let us know! PM us what you have and help us bless Dale and everyone he Blesses!!! As always, your prayers for Wisdom and Direction are always appreciated!!!
