is a Professional Corporation offering Civil Engineering, Land Surveying, Landscape Architecture and Consulting services to the public and private sectors in New York. In the mid 1980's, Mark R. Costich, P.E. and Charles J. Costich, III, L.S. joined the firm to head up the engineering and surveying departments. Today, the third generation of the Costich Family has joined the firm. We are proud of our history and are looking forward to our future here in the Rochester community and beyond!

Growing grass when there’s snow on the ground? ✔️

We’re not miracle workers, but we’re close! The new synthetic turf is going in at Fr. Richard Noonan S.J. Field at McQuaid Jesuit, and its looking 🔥 even with frost and flurries around us. This field is designed to handle whatever Rochester throws at it. More playing time, better drainage and a surface that works in our weather.

Can’t wait to see the knights taking the field on this surface!

Emma Oakes has been part of the Costich Team since 2019, and her impact here goes far beyond the projects she has managed. She has been a mentor, a teacher, and a steady presence for so many of us, always ready with advice, encouragement, and a smile.

Born and raised in Rochester, NY, Emma has poured her creativity into her work as a Landscape Architect and Project Manager, leading with care and helping guide the next generation of designers and engineers.

Outside of work, she is an artist, gardener, and explorer who loves spending time with her son Atlas, her partner Alex, and their French bulldog, Kyoko.

Emma is now in the final stages of chronic kidney disease and in need of a living donor transplant. Her friends and family have created a page to share updates and ways to help, whether through donation, sharing her story, or learning more about living kidney donation.

Whats going on here you might ask? Do you see the drone as well as the red weather 🎈?

Our balloon fly/photosim team was caught out in the field conducting this flight in order to create photosimulations of a proposed monopole as well as assess the visibility of the proposed structure from set elevations within a 3 miles radius of the proposed tower!

The weather balloons are flown at known heights to give us a scalable object to create simulations in the office and the drone similarly is flown at set elevations in a 360 degree circle as a reverse check of visibility of the proposed tower.

We have this down to a science!

Phase 1 of the Newport Marine Club development along Irondequoit Bay is now complete.

Costich Engineering provided full design services for this waterfront community including civil engineering, land surveying and landscape architecture to RSM Irondequoit Bay Development. We are excited to see this multi-phased project bring new residential life to the bay!

A special thanks to Homes with Donna .with.donna for showcasing a beautiful finished home and helping introduce this new community to future residents.

With additional phases and a new marina dock on the horizon, we look forward to continuing our work in this area.

In the field this week! Our SWPPP inspector Leah Lloyd .leah12 snapped these photos during her weekly inspection as these new solar panels had just gone up!

Preconstruction meeting alert for McAlpin Industries new 240,000 SF Building on Hard Road in Webster, Ny. We met the town and the construction team last Friday to kick things off for getting this site BUILT!

COSTICH has provided site development plans for this project along with municipal and agency approvals required for construction to occur, stay tuned for more we will be out on site for SWPPP inspections and will share more as the project progresses in the field!

📱🔥Record-breaking turnout 🔥📱

Last night we sponsored our third New York State Wireless Association networking social in Fairport, and it was the biggest one yet.

The wireless telecommunications community showed up strong, reconnecting with colleagues, former coworkers and industry partners. Rochester has always been a wireless hotspot, and nights like this prove that legacy is alive and well.

Thank you to everyone who came out, to the NYSWA for organizing, and to the Preservation Beer Company foe being the perfect host. Here’s to building connections and keeping Rochester in the Wireless forefront!

COSTICH completed sidewalk extension plans for the Town of Penfield along Five Mile Line Road & Jackson Roads furthering connections and walkability for the residents in the town!

Last Thursday we had the honor of attending the Travertine Demonstration Plant Ribbon cutting ceremony where remarks were made by the Town of Ontario, NYSERDA and the founder of Travertine!

Our involvement included preparation of a Special Use Permit plan and municipal approvals for the demonstration plant within an existing building in Ontario, New York.
