October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
1 in 8 women.
That statistic hits differently when you look around at your friends.
Your sisters.
Your daughters.
Your mothers.
One in eight.
We all know someone who has been impacted by breast cancer.
And so many of us know the quiet fear that comes with every mammogram.
What if this time, it’s me?
But October isn’t only about fear.
It’s about the women who heard the words “You have breast cancer” and kept going.
The women in treatment.
The survivors.
The families standing beside them.
And the women we desperately wish were still here.
We are strong as women.
But strength also means taking care of ourselves.
Make the appointment.
Get the mammogram.
Check your breasts.
Remind your friends.
Because breast cancer isn’t just a pink ribbon.
It’s our mothers.
Our sisters.
Our daughters.
Our friends.
It could be any of us.
This October, we stand together. 🎀
