The company was founded in 1974, and started off as a quick turn around small parts manufacturer. Precise Tool and Manufacturing Inc. diversified its capabilities and earned its reputation by building special machinery and prototype equipment for several local industries. Throughout this time the company built up its CNC machine tool base to support the efforts of its design and build department.

The people who transport things in a are unspoken heroes of what we do. 🗜️ This box may contain raw stock, tooling, fixtures, castings, customer-supplied parts, or finished components. One bad lift, drop, or impact can damage thousands of dollars’ worth of work before it ever reaches a machine. So while it’s not shown or talked about a lot, it’s an imperative role that demands highly qualified people.

From pumpkins to production parts, this is what five-axis machining can do. 🗜️ Extremely complex geometries become real when the machine and part can move more freely. Five-axis machining opens the door to parts that would be difficult, inefficient, or nearly impossible on standard machines. We have open capacity in our department now!

Turning a thin 100” SA36 ring on the lathe. For work this large yet thin, it’s key to control deflection and chatter to maintain accuracy. This is why having a skilled machinist makes all the difference.

Rings of power… literally. We machine these in a variety of sizes, tolerance, and steel allows for the industry. Starting from two half-segments which are milled, then combined and turn as one.

The size of that American flag though… 🇺🇸 Closing out the week with a quick walk through of our expanded shop floor! This 40,000sqft building addition will house a new pallet tech system, large VTLs, and other state-of-the-art CNC machines, bringing us to the next level.

Power generation rings in various sizes, alloys, and tolerance requirements. ⚙️ These are milled and then the two-halves connected for turning. Demanding and precise work that were honored to crush day in and day out.

Another MAZAK Integrex J400 just joined the lineup of multitasking CNCs. 🗜️ With both turning and milling capabilities it can reduce set-ups for complex parts, and therefore cost. Not to mention when one machine can do more, the whole shop moves better! Win win.
