🌞🚜 Happy International Picnic Day!

Celebrating International Picnic Day with your tractor may not lead to much quality conversation...

(Unless you talk to yourself. πŸ˜„)

But I'm sure there will be plenty of quality work getting done.

Hope everyone gets a little seat time today!

Sometimes the difference between fighting with your bucket and getting work done comes down to one thing...

Bite.

Whether you're digging into hard-packed dirt, gravel, roots, or compacted material, a tooth bar helps your bucket cut in instead of just pushing material around.

It's one of those upgrades customers constantly tell us they wish they had purchased sooner.

What has been the toughest material you've had to dig through?

Tractor Tip Tuesday

One of the biggest mistakes people make when grading a driveway?

Trying to fix everything in one pass.

Whether you're using a land leveler, landscape rake, or back blade, several light passes usually produce better results than one aggressive pass.

You'll get:
β€’ Smoother results
β€’ Better material distribution
β€’ Less washboarding
β€’ More control

The goal isn't to move the most gravel.

The goal is to leave the best finish.

What's the toughest driveway issue you deal with each year?

We're back!

The last couple of weeks have been a bit of a whirlwind around here.

Between NeoCon, a hospital stay, baseball tournaments, birthdays, and trying to keep everything moving at the shop, we've definitely been busy.

The good news is Terry is doing much better, and we're getting caught up on everything that piled up while life threw us a few curveballs.

We appreciate everyone's patience, prayers, kind messages, and support. Being a small family business means sometimes life happens, and we're grateful for customers who understand that.

Now it's time to get back to building products, answering phones, and helping tractor owners get more done.

What's everyone working on this week?

Join us in wishing Terry a Happy Birthday!

If you've called Heavy Hitch, watched one of our videos, or followed us for any length of time, you've probably gotten to know Terry a little bit.

He's the guy behind the designs, the product ideas, and the constant pursuit of making things just a little bit better.

He's also the guy who somehow turns every project into three projects, can't stop thinking about improvements, and occasionally tries to convince me that his latest idea will "benefit" me.

We're incredibly grateful for everything he does for our family, our employees, and our customers.

Happy Birthday, Terry!

Feel free to help us wish him a great day in the comments below.

Tractor Trivia Friday - Here's the answer

B) Ford

In 1917, Ford introduced the Fordson Model F, widely recognized as the first mass-produced affordable tractor in the United States.

By applying assembly-line manufacturing techniques similar to those used for automobiles, Ford made tractors accessible to many more farmers.

The Fordson helped accelerate the transition from horse-powered farming to mechanized agriculture and became one of the most influential tractors ever built.

Thanks to everyone who played along!

We'll be reaching out to our random winner soon.

You may have noticed we've been a little quiet this week.

Terry and I spent a few days in Chicago attending NeoCon, and shortly after returning, I ended up taking Terry to the ER. We're still at the hospital and waiting for some answers.

If you've called or emailed recently, thank you for your patience.

I also want to give a special shout-out to our oldest son, Elliot. He's been doing his best to answer phones, help customers, and keep things moving while we're away. Not too shabby for a 17-year-old!

We're incredibly proud of the young man he's becoming and appreciate him stepping up when we need him.

We'll do our best to get caught up as quickly as possible and appreciate everyone's understanding while we focus on Terry's health and getting him back on his feet.

Thank you for supporting our family business and for all the kindness you've shown us over the years. It means more than you know.

-Shannon
