Talk about a great fall cleanup combo!

The Heavy Hitch Landscape Rake + Back Blade can tackle a pretty impressive list of projects around your property.

Use the Landscape Rake for cleanup, spreading gravel, working soil and clearing rocks and debris.

Then bring in the Back Blade for grading, moving dirt and gravel, maintaining the driveway and putting those finishing touches on your projects.

And the best part? When fall turns into winter, the Back Blade doesn't get put away - put it right back to work moving snow!

Two attachments. A whole lot of projects. And plenty of reasons to keep that tractor working through fall and into winter.

But don't just take our word for it! Tractor Time with Tim shares his thoughts on the Back Blade/Rake Combo.

Tractor Tip Tuesday

When you're using a rear blade, don't assume straight behind the tractor is always the best position.

Changing the angle of the blade changes how material moves.

Angling the blade can help move gravel, dirt, leaves or snow toward one side instead of simply pushing or pulling it straight ahead.

That can be especially helpful when maintaining a driveway, cleaning up along an edge, or eventually...moving that four-letter word we don't want to talk about quite yet. ❄️😂

Take a little time to experiment with your blade angle and tractor speed to find what works best for the job you're tackling.

What do you use your back blade for most...gravel, dirt or snow?

Happy Labor Day from Heavy Hitch!

Today we're celebrating the hardworking people who keep things moving, including the crew right here at Heavy Hitch and T&S Manufacturing.

There's a lot that happens before a Heavy Hitch product ever makes it into a box. Cutting, machining, forming, welding, powder coating, assembly, packing and shipping, and we're incredibly thankful for the people who show up every day and make it happen.

We're proud of what we build, but even more proud of the people who build it. ❤️🤍💙

To our team, our customers, and all the hardworking people out there, Happy Labor Day!

We hope you're enjoying a well-earned long weekend!

Tractor Trivia Answer! 🚜

✅ B) Some engine power is lost through the drivetrain and systems before reaching the PTO

Your tractor's advertised engine horsepower measures power produced by the engine, while PTO horsepower measures the usable power available at the PTO.

As that power travels from the engine through the tractor's drivetrain and other systems, some is lost along the way. That's why PTO horsepower is typically lower than engine horsepower.

👉 Why does that matter?

When you're shopping for a PTO-driven implement, don't look at engine horsepower alone. Check your tractor's PTO horsepower and compare it with the implement manufacturer's requirements.

It's one of those tractor specs that's easy to overlook, but an important one to know!

👏 How many of you got it right?

We'll be reaching out to our randomly selected winner!

Not everyone got to start their weekend at 10:30 yesterday!

The waterjet needed to be pumped out, so Terry volunteered Elliot to help him do the dirty work to keep things running around here.

And Elliot was probably working a little faster than usual...because this job was standing between him and heading to his friend's cabin for the weekend!

Definitely not the most glamorous job in the shop, but somebody's gotta do it, and around a family business, sometimes that somebody is you!

And just like that…they’re ALL back to school!

We had such a great summer with the boys, and it was especially nice having Elliot and Isaac at the shop helping out. They worked hard, learned a lot, and hopefully picked up a little more appreciation for a good work ethic along the way.
Easton still got to enjoy being a kid and spending most of his summer having fun at home with his sitters, but he popped into the shop a few times too and even helped with some cleaning!

We loved having them around this summer…but now it's back to school and back to our regular routine.

There is, however, one major downside to Isaac going back to school...
Apparently I'm back on bathroom-cleaning duty at the shop.

Like I've said before, Isaac tends to get the jobs no one else wants to do, and he never complains! I think I'm going to miss having him around even more than I thought.

Hope everyone heading back to school has a great year!

Tractor Trivia Friday!

When comparing tractor specifications, PTO horsepower is typically lower than engine horsepower. Why?

A) The PTO operates at a lower engine RPM
B) Some engine power is lost through the drivetrain and systems before reaching the PTO
C) PTO shafts are designed to produce less horsepower
D) Manufacturers intentionally limit PTO horsepower to protect implements
