TRACTOR TIP TUESDAY: Check Your Cutting Edge Before the Snow Flies!

Your snowplow works hard all winter, and your cutting edge takes a beating!

Before that first snowfall, take a few minutes to give your plow a once-over.

Check for thinning: Is your wear bar getting worn down or close to the mounting hardware?

Look for uneven wear: One side wearing faster than the other? It might be time to check your setup.

Inspect for damage: Watch for cracks, bends, and loose or missing bolts.

Double-check the fit: If it's time for a replacement, verify the measurements, mounting holes, and compatibility before ordering.

A little maintenance now beats discovering a problem when you've got six inches of snow in the driveway!

Terry’s Take Thursday! ❄️🚜

Snowblower, snow pusher, back blade… or hand the kids a shovel?

We asked Terry to pick his favorite snow-removal tool, and it turns out he’s not choosing just one!

For a few inches of lighter snow, he likes the snow pusher. For bigger accumulations, he reaches for the snowblower—when there’s room to throw the snow where it needs to go. And for that wet, slushy stuff? He likes having a back blade handy.

But there’s one place where the equipment choice is already settled: the hockey rink. They haven’t figured out how to get the tractor inside, so the kids are still on shovel duty. 🏒😅

🚜 Tractor Tip Tuesday: Don't Forget Your Tires!

As temperatures drop, now is a good time to check your tractor's tire pressure.

Cold weather can cause tire pressure to decrease, and properly inflated tires are important for traction, stability, and tire life.

✅ Check pressures when the tires are cold.
✅ Follow your tractor and tire manufacturer's recommendations.
✅ Inspect tires for damage, cracks, or unusual wear.

A few minutes of maintenance now can help you avoid problems when winter arrives.

Tractor Trivia Answer: B - Ferguson TE20!

The Ferguson TE20 was affectionately known as the “Little Grey Fergie.”

The first TE20 rolled off the assembly line in Coventry, England, on July 6, 1946. The tractor was developed by Harry Ferguson and became closely associated with the Ferguson System — a three-point linkage and hydraulic system that helped the tractor and implement work together as a unit.

The TE20 was small and light by the standards of the day, but it played an important role in tractor history and helped bring practical mechanization to farms around the world.
