Visual acuity metrics don't always tell the whole story.

Dr. Ariel Cerenzie from the Charlotte Contact Lens Institute recently shared an incredible patient journey, demonstrating the limitations of standard optics and the power of OVITZ Wavefront Technology.

The Patient Journey:
📈Baseline: This patient with keratoconus made the leap from standard gas permeable (GP) lenses to scleral lenses with front toricity, dramatically improving her acuity from 20/60 to 20/25.
📉The Hurdle: Despite excellent acuity, the patient continued to struggle with nighttime glare, halos, and starbursts.
🔎Assessment: Diagnostic testing revealed that high posterior corneal elevation and residual coma were causing significant Higher Order Aberrations (HOAs).
