Every brand has a starting point.

Rae-Motorsports started in a 1,000 sq ft home garage, with a dream, a welder, and a whole lot of determination. At the time, I was a young mom working two other jobs, doing everything I could to keep the dream alive.

Those early years weren’t glamorous.

They were filled with hardships, trials & tribulations, endless days, and long nights spent building, learning, failing, improving, and refusing to quit. Every product, every weld, every order shipped helped build what Rae-Motorsports is today.

Now, as we head into our 5th year in business, I’m incredibly proud to announce something big for both Rae-Motorsports and our customers.

Rae-Motorsports is officially partnering with 🦾

Subimods is now stockpiling Rae-Motorsports products for the Subaru WRX platform, including Titanium 😉

Customers will now be able to find a surplus of Rae-Motorsports products ready to ship directly from Subimods, including:

• Rae-Motorsports Titanium Charge Pipes

This makes Subimods one of our biggest, trusted vendors and another reliable source for off-the-shelf Rae-Motorsports products.

This partnership allows us to continue focusing on what we do best, designing, fabricating, and pushing the limits of performance fabrication.

But that’s not all…

Subimods will also be resurrecting a staple Rae-Motorsports product for production on the VA & VB WRX platforms.

Titanium Anodizing — How It Works 🔬⚙️

Definition:
•Anodizing titanium is an electrochemical process that changes the thickness of the metal’s natural oxide layer. This microscopic adjustment alters how light reflects off the surface, which is what creates the visible color spectrum.

Unlike paint or powder coat, anodizing is not a coating and uses no dyes or pigments. Color is produced purely by controlling voltage while the titanium is submerged in an electrolytic bath.

Breakdown:
☆Different voltages = different oxide thickness = different colors☆

FAQ:
Why you don’t see true red titanium:
•The oxide thickness range that titanium can safely achieve only produces colors within a specific light-interference spectrum. That range tops out before true red wavelengths can be reflected, so while you can get golds, purples, blues, teals, and greens; true red isn’t physically achievable through anodizing alone.

Fun Fact:
Because nothing is added to the surface, the base metal’s strength, weight, corrosion resistance, and structural properties remain unchanged. That’s why anodized titanium is trusted even in high-performance and biomedical applications. 🦾👩🏻‍🏭🫡
