Our longtime followers know that Ben3DBuild originally started with LC100 and LX470 modifications, so we’ve created a lot of designs for these platforms over the years.

This light mount is one of them. Quite a few owners running TJM bumpers have reached out to us about it. It’s actually one of our older designs—I originally made it to fit this 2-inch Baja Designs light.

GX460 ScanGauge 3 Overhead Mount — Rev C 🔧

We designed our ScanGauge 3 overhead mount for the Lexus GX460 to keep the gauge up high, clean, and integrated into the factory overhead console.

We sent out the first few units, and then the feedback came in:

The mount sat too low and partially blocked the rearview mirror.

Since we don’t own a GX460 ourselves, some real-world fitment details are difficult to catch during the initial development process. But when our customers find something that can be improved, we go back to the CAD and fix it.

This is Rev C.

We redesigned the mount to move the ScanGauge higher and reduce the obstruction of the rearview mirror while keeping the clean, factory-style installation.

And for the customers who already purchased the earlier version — we’ll make it right.

When we say our interior products have a lifetime warranty, that doesn’t only mean replacing a part if it breaks. It also includes design revisions when we find a better way to make the product work the way it should.

Both gray and tan give it a very OEM-style look, and personally, I think black looks really cool too.

I also designed an overhead mount for the GX460 as part of this series. The tan color of the GX460 overhead console is more of a creamy off-white, so it took me quite a few different filaments to finally find a good match.

I’m really happy with how this color turned out. What do you guys think?

As part of the same series, I also designed a ScanGauge mount. I thought some of you might be interested in this one too!

Both gray and tan give it a very OEM-style look. Personally, I think black looks really cool too.
