Lately we’ve seen growing interest in a strong linear look using profiled wood slats. These tambour and tambour-like designs add depth to the aesthetic often turning boring curved and flat surfaces into stunning focal points. Slats can be profiled with curves, squared edges, chamfered edges, radii and more. They can also be butted together , like traditional tambour, or spaced apart. Combine wood depth with different profiles, spacing and colors to expand design possibilities. You can even use different colors on slats and substrates.
