MYTH: Brand new injectors don't need to be tested!

TRUTH: We have opened brand new injectors from the exact same box, same part number, same batch and found significant flow differences between them.

Brand new does not mean matched. Brand new does not mean characterized.
Brand new does not mean your tuner has the data they need to build an accurate fuel map.
It just means they have never been used.
That is not the same thing as knowing what they actually deliver.
Test them before they go in. Always.

The internet loves DIY injector cleaning advice. Most of it is wrong.

Fuel additives dilute before they reach your injectors. Brake cleaner has no controlled pressure and can damage precision seals.
DIY kits loosen surface deposits but never reach internal passages and leave you with zero flow data and nothing for your tuner.

Three big stops are ahead for the Ohio Valley SCDRA!

Saturday, June 27, the Ohio Valley SCDRA heads to Mansfield Speedway for the Summer Sport Compact Showdown paying $1,000 to win and $100 to start.

The event serves as a key tune-up for September’s Rust Belt Nationals: King of Compacts XV and gives teams valuable track time at one of the premier high-speed dirt facilities in the country. It also delivers strong exposure for drivers and sponsors in front of a live crowd, supported by full social media reach and live stream coverage from Mansfield Speedway.

Saturday, July 11, the tour invades Western KY Speedway for Mini Stock Mayhem paying $2,500 to win and $150 to start. Western Kentucky Speedway is a 3/8-mile dirt oval located in Madisonville, Kentucky, featuring a high banked clay surface built for fast, competitive racing.

Sunday, July 12, the series continues at Windy Hollow Speedway in Owensboro, Kentucky for another $2,500 to win and $150 to start main event. Windy Hollow Speedway is a 3/8-mile D-shaped dirt track that has been a fixture in Kentucky racing since 1970 and remains one of the region’s most recognizable facilities.

With only 43 miles separating the two Kentucky venues, teams will have back to back opportunities to compete for big money in the Bluegrass State.

Your dyno numbers do not lie. But they do not tell the whole truth either.

A dyno number is a snapshot. What your engine made on that specific day. Under those specific conditions. With those injectors delivering whatever they happened to deliver on those pulls.

But here is the question nobody asks after a dyno session is that number what your engine actually made?
Or is it what your engine made with injectors that were never properly characterized delivering something close to what the spec sheet said but not exactly what your specific injectors actually do?
