A tricky boring job of a nearly 13” deep 30 degree internal cone with a 7/8” thru hole at the small end before welding went fairly easy! We made a custom holder for a 5/8” diameter boring bar from heat treated Chrome Moly Steel. It roughed 1/8” depth of cut #9 chips beautifully! And there was no harmonic on the light finish cuts, so decent finishes were easy!

We’re going to do a larger production run (to keep costs down)of the Doc Holiday replica cups from scene’s in the movie Tombstone. They’re turned from 6061-t6 Aluminum with a milled spinner handle attached, and Electroless Nickel plated. Our good friend and Cowboy gunfight re-enactment guy Earl Watters helped us design and manufacture a few of these 4 years back!

Oh yeah, could always use more Kennametal Tooling at Butterman Tool!!!

Custom GSXRADD front End we made for a designer in Santa Fe, we mainly do Aerospace parts and Tooling for Manufacturers. We really like Kennametal products, KM1 milling insert cutters are our favorite! We would love to get more Kennametal Tooling!
