We appreciate the City of Rio Grande City, Texas and Rio Grande City Animal Control Department Director Eli Gonzalez for allowing us to participate in sharing this important information and helping educate our community.

Today, Border Enterprises was honored during the Rio Grande City Board meeting as the City of Rio Grande City’s Business of the Month, recognized by both the City and the Rio Grande City Economic Development Corporation.

Mayor Gilberto Falcon spoke very eloquently directly to Gus “Guero” Perez, Jr. and Xavier Eli Perez, acknowledging the many challenges that small-town businesses face while continuing to serve their communities with dedication and integrity.

Another special moment was the recognition from U.S. Representative Henry Cuellar. His representative, Robert Bazan, presented a congressional certificate and paid tribute to Gustavo and Yolanda Perez, recognizing not only the business they built, but also the values they instilled in their children. It was a touching reminder that their legacy continues to live on through their family and the generations that follow.

This recognition means so much to all of us. Thank you to our incredible staff, our loyal customers, our supporters, and our friends for being part of the Border Enterprises story. We are truly grateful and incredibly blessed.
