We recently completed three initial site visits from Placerville, up to Hotchkiss, and over to Gunnison. These site visits were to provide a site and soil evaluation to properly design new On-site Wastewater Treatment System (OWTS) commonly referred to as septic systems.The soils and site conditions varied greatly, from rocky steep slopes to very tight and platy clay on top of a mesa. Whatever the soil conditions are at the site, we ensure our design takes into account the property's layout, the site's aesthetics, and follows state and county regulations to create a well-planned solution for every distinct project. This new house being constructed has a beautiful aspen tree covered lot overlooking the entire Wilson Mesa. The system needed to be large due to being constructed on a fat clay soil that is not very conducive to water transmition once it is saturated. The home owner did a great job on the installation. On to the next one!

The Fairway Pines Sanitation District has a sewage treatment system for a specific part of the Log Hill subdivision in Ridgway CO. The district requires the home owners to have a holding tank and lift station to pump into the sewage treatment infrastructure to properly transport the sewage to be treated. The system was installed recently on a new build and passed all code requirements during the as-built site visit.
