Washington Closure Hanford manages the $2.7 billion, 10-year River Corridor Closure Project for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). Located on the 586-square-mile Hanford Site in southeastern Washington state, the 220-square-mile River Corridor comprises the outer edge of the Hanford Site, including major portions of the Hanford Reach National Monument. Washington Closure was selected by DOE to manage the project in August 2005. The contract runs through September 2016.
