Troubleshooting and critical thinking skills are essential to develop solutions to problems that arise, while organizational skills are necessary to ensure work is done correctly, on time, and properly documented. The person in this position will be cross trained to be a backup in other areas of production as necessary.

Many other brush cutter manufacturers use one motor for standard flow machines from 15–25 GPM and another for high flow machines from 25–42 GPM. That’s a large range for a single motor setup to handle effectively.

What happens when one brush cutter motor is expected to cover a large flow range?

Usually one of two things - blade tip speed is too slow at the bottom end and/or the cutting is overspinning at the top end. That means poor recovery in heavy material on smaller machines; excess heat, wear, and drivetrain stress on larger ones.

Virnig uses multiple brush cutter motor options to better match hydraulic flow, helping maintain blade speeds typically in the 700–900 RPM range.
