A new parking garage is gaining height in Carson City and CME is proud to be a part of the project! The Legislative Council Bureau is expanding and adding a facilities building and 3-story office building in addition to the new garage. This means several of our team members are there daily sampling materials and performing special inspections. In this photo, CME Senior Project Manager, David Russell, is observing reinforcing steel and post-tensioning tendon placement for the elevated PT slab prior to concrete placement.

17 years ago, CME was just getting started. Fast forward to today and we’ve grown into an incredible team of engineers, technicians, inspectors, and problem-solvers, keeping projects moving across Nevada and beyond.

Over the years we’ve tested a lot of materials, drilled a lot of holes, survived a lot of deadlines, and somehow consumed enough tacos to qualify as a small municipality.

To everyone who has been part of the journey — our employees, clients, and partners — thank you for helping make the last 17 years such an adventure. We’re proud of how far we’ve come and excited for what’s ahead!

Things are really shaking at the massive Grand Sierra Resort Arena project! This photo shows Vibro Piers being installed by Keller North America. After holes are predrilled, a vibrating probe and funnel are lowered into place and filled with aggregate. As the hole is filled in 1–2 foot increments, the probe compacts and expands the material into the surrounding soil to create a strong foundation element. This project will require approximately 1500 piers!

This weekend, as part of Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful’s Great Community Clean-Up, CME teamed up with the Valley Wood Park Taskforce, a coalition of local neighbors and nonprofits working together to care for and improve the park’s gardens. CME volunteers worked alongside the group weeding, trimming, planting, and spreading mulch to help beautify the gardens and create a welcoming space for the community to enjoy.

Giving back to the communities where we live and work is an important part of who we are, and we are proud to support projects that bring people together and make a lasting positive impact.
