🔧 Tips & Tricks Thursday | Deburring Your Channel

A clean connection starts with a clean cut.

After cutting an aluminum channel, jagged or uneven edges can prevent two sections from sitting flush together, which may lead to unwanted light leakage at the joint.

Pro Tip: Deburr the cut edges before joining your channels. Smoothing out those rough edges helps create a tighter, cleaner connection and a more seamless finished installation.

A clean lighting installation is about more than the light. Proper wire management helps create a professional finish and keeps low-voltage lead wires out of sight.

For undercabinet lighting, try installing a channel upside down to conceal the wire run. This simple technique helps protect the wiring while maintaining a clean, organized appearance beneath the cabinet.

Pro Tip: Plan your wire path before installing the lighting to minimize visible connections and simplify the final installation.
