EchoNous recently supported a pediatric cardiology initiative in Guyana in partnership with Northwell Health's Center for Global Health!

We provided Kosmos ultrasound equipment to aid the team's work with Guyana's Ministry of Health, including screening children for structural heart disease and identifying candidates for surgical care.

When spinal landmarks are difficult to palpate, a lumbar puncture can be more challenging.

Pre-procedural lets physicians identify the midline, choose an appropriate interspace, and estimate needle depth before insertion, especially in patients with higher BMI or altered anatomy.

Research has also linked ultrasound-assisted lumbar puncture to fewer failed procedures and insertion attempts than landmark-based techniques.
