This week, our President - CEO had the honor of participating in a Veterans Panel in Spearfish, South Dakota, held during National Small Business Week, a time dedicated to recognizing the vital role small businesses play in our communities and economy. The timing made the experience even more meaningful, especially given the strong connection between veterans, entrepreneurship, and leadership.

What made the event particularly special was where it took place. The building our President - CEO spoke in was designed by FourFront Design many years ago for the Black Hills State University Campus, making the day a true full‑circle moment. It was powerful to see a space we helped create continue to support learning, dialogue, and community engagement.

The panel fostered thoughtful conversation around service, leadership, and the importance of supporting veterans as they transition into business and civilian careers. Participating during National Small Business Week underscored how closely aligned veteran entrepreneurship and small business success truly are.

We extend our sincere appreciation to Bryson Patterson, SBA District Director for SD and SD CEO West | Women's Business Center for their leadership and commitment to supporting veterans and small businesses across the state. Thank you as well to everyone who helped make the event impactful and memorable.

Moments like these remind us that architecture and engineering is about more than buildings, it’s about creating places where meaningful conversations happen and communities continue to grow.

This ties in so closely to the FourFront mission - Creating the Built Environment...for people! 😍
