At the Raleigh Chamber’s Annual Leadership Conference, we joined regional leaders to dig into housing, mobility, what’s working, what’s broken, and how to fix it without duct tape and wishful thinking.

Did you know this was ours?

Pathway Triangle is a 75-acre Research Triangle Park campus that brings R&D and biomanufacturing together across three purpose-built facilities. We engineered two high-bay GMP manufacturing buildings and a 140,000 SF lab. Precast walls and structural steel frame the manufacturing space with 48′ × 48′ column spacing for wide-open floorplans. The lab stacks composite beams, slab on deck floors, and metal stud curtain walls, and every building is footing-ready for a future second floor.

Huge thanks to King Street Properties, BE&K Building Group, and Integrated Design, PA. Building this with you felt less like work and more like a rhythm. Always a pleasure.

Did you know this was ours?

Ellmer College of Health Sciences at ODU clocks in at just over 128,000 SF. We engineered long spans in steel, concrete, and precast to carry heavy lab loads and clear out columns for open atriums and glazed corridors.

Cannon drew it. Hourigan built it. We made sure it could take a hit.

Meet Shannon Gilmore – Structural Inspector 2.

Shannon is the guy looking up in every building. Target, the mall, a stadium? He’s already sizing it up. That constant curiosity is part of what makes him great at inspections. He’s also a connector on-site, working across teams to keep builds moving and on track. He catches the details that others miss.

Off the clock, he’s into baseball, camping with his family, and Nebraska football. (Go Big Red!)
