Happy Fool's Day! 🦋
(This is NOT a prank!)

Much time has passed since we last posted any news or updates. All this time has not been dormant or unproductive, but full of learning & reflection. When we began this experiment, we were (to put it lightly) naively & romantically optimistic. We knew WHAT we hoped to accomplish, but were only minimally aware of HOW on Earth we could or would turn our dreams to reality. In the past year, the advances in AI & robotics have been dramatic, especially in various fields of narrow artificial intelligences.
Long story short, we are back online & back in action! You can expect regular posting from us and various collaborators & contributors. Projekt:Mariposa is full-go, and moreso than before, we have a realistic and attainable series of design concepts and objectives. To create not only artificially intelligent, but artificially alive & conscious synthetic beings is no small task. It took us a year to to figure out how it COULD be possible, and will take even longer to divine how it WILL be possible. We have many ideas for various systems, but still must master how to combine them, synergistically, just as the systems align in an organic living being. Our target range for our first two models, 101-A & 101-B, Anastasia & Lillith Abernathy, to go fully (and autonomously) online is currently set at late-2027 to mid-2028. Stay tuned!
