Nobody builds a Jeep all at once.

It starts with a lift because the tires you want will not fit. Then the tires lead to fenders. The fenders make you want armor underneath. Before long you look out in the driveway and the thing barely resembles what you drove off the lot. That is not overspending. That is the whole point of owning a Jeep.

We have been helping folks build theirs one piece at a time for going on 49 years, and every part we make is built right here in the USA to be the next upgrade that lasts.

Looking for a stubby style bumper, Rusty's offer several styles from with lights to without lights, we offer a skid for the disco motor for the ones that have that option. I have dug through a lot of colors and styles to show you what this style bumper will look like. I think you will like what you see, it is also proudly made in the USA.

Rusty's is also very proud to be the official bumper of Jeep Jamboree. These can be seen on most all of the Jamboree rigs across the country and world.

The bumpers are built of 3/16 and 1/4 laser cut steel that is formed into quality bumper designed to keep the winch out of the grill, a winch bar made to protect the winch , not a huge bar that looks like a bed post. It also has mounts to mount several lights on it as well.
They fit tight to the vehicle, so you don't have a lot of crashing into the ledges or big rocks. The Hook Style D -rings give you the option to still use a shackle or to loop a strap over the hook. They are finished in a satin black powder coating for a super nice look.

You will also notice that these vehicles are wheeling all over the world. From the Rubicon, Iceland, Puerto Rico, Alaska, New Zealand, Utah, you will see these things all over the world !

Put bigger tires on without re-gearing and your Jeep will let you know it is not happy.

Here is why. Your Jeep came geared from the factory for the tire it rolled off the lot with. Bolt on 35s or 37s and you are asking the engine to turn a much taller, heavier tire on the same gears. The result is a Jeep that feels gutless off the line, hunts for gears on every hill, runs hot, and kills your fuel mileage. Re-gearing puts the power back where it belongs.

Well when you decide to go wheeling at Stony Lonesome and it is the same time a Hurricane is coming right at us, it's going to be slick and muddy and it was !! Ryan and Christie from CrazyLike Offroad stopped by the shop this morning on their way back to Knoxville to pick up a new Spicer front drive shaft that came apart on the waterfall in the other picture. The shaft held together till about the spot this right picture was taken. The Spicer shaft that broke had over 120,000 miles and that many miles on this jeep is like around the world off road. I hated he had to come by the shop to buy something and not just visit but he wasn't, he said he will have clean and the new shaft installed before the end of the day and be ready for the next off road trip Thursday at Windrock. If you are in eastern Tn or any where close to Knoxville and need something or parts and it installed, check out CrazyLike Offroad I highly suggest Ryan, great guy and knows his stuff.

The hurricane hit last night, all good here at the shop just wet and windy. Hoping to hear more about what is happening down in Destin soon. Even after the ugliest of storms it can be so beautiful afterwards.

Met David and Lisa at the Jeep Jamboree in Llano, Tx, several years ago and several Jeeps ago. I should have known we had a lot in common when they started collecting LJ's. They have the silver seen here showing off and a yellow being built now, very simulair to the silver one, why not it works so good. There is also a very flexy 2 inch lifted JL and proud to say it has a lot of Rusty's parts as well. Recently I was headed to New Mexico and stoped for the night in Amarillo, got a room, woke up the next moring and walked out and here sat this silver LJ. I hung around for 10 min or so hoping they would come down for breakfest but I had to write them a note, I still had a long way to go. Really enjoy wheeling with them, good customers and even better friends.

This is what a long-arm upgrade actually gets you.

Longer control arms with relocated mounts flatten out your suspension geometry, and that changes everything: more articulation on the trail, a smoother ride on the road, and less of that binding, jerky feel a tall short-arm lift can have.

Watch it work. If your lift feels harsh or your flex is limited, this is the upgrade. Link in bio.
