The 2026 ABRR was a great success! Team Lotus raised more than ever before - $2338.00! And the total amount raised for Shriners Hospital for the 2026 ABRR is over $70,000.00!

We had three Elans running the ABRR this year - also more than ever before! All three Elans ran well for the entire event which was about 600 miles. During the event there was some absolutely beautiful Fall scenery and fantastic back roads through PA, MD, VA and WV. We also had a bit of rain and some pretty cool temperatures including frost one morning.

Thanks to everyone who donated to Shriners Hospital in support of our Team Lotus entry.

Looks like we're heading into some wet and colder weather over the course of the ABRR run this weekend. RainX has been applied and the heater works so we're ready!
You can still make contributions online; please give if you can!

Just back from the LOONY Rendezvous at the Watkins Glen Grand Prix Festival - What a great event! Thanks to Tony and the entire LOONY team for organizing this weekend. We met up with some Lotus owners we’d never met before. The photos below don’t do justice to the event and I encourage you to attend if you can fit it into your schedule.
Linda and I used this event as a warmup for the upcoming ABRR and we drove 532 trouble free miles. The Elan is running very well. Our laps of the original Watkins Glen course were really fun, especially the three laps with the SVRA cars. Their pace car gave us the opportunity for a spirited drive!

Please consider making a donation to Shriners Hospital in support of our Team Lotus entry. Donations in any amount are welcome, and it’s easy to make a secure donation online through their secure link.

Summer's winding down and autumn weather can't be far off. I'll be glad to see the heat and humidity depart.

And this time of year also brings back one of my favorite driving events: the American British Reliability Run (ABRR). Linda and I will be driving the Elan again this year and I'm hoping for good weather and Lots of Reliability from our Lotus. But most of all I'm hoping to raise over $1000 for Shriners Hospital for Children. Please do what you can to help us achieve this goal. It's easy to donate using the secure link on the ABRR website. Donations of any amount are welcome and important to the work of Shriners Hospital.

This year Linda and I are especially proud that our son and grandson will be co-driving their Spitfire in the ABRR. Three generations!
And there are two other Elans entered in this years ABRR too, which must be a record! Three Elans out of 30 cars is a disproportionate number for our marque and I'm pretty proud of all the owners of vintage Lotus cars who continue to drive them!

Please donate to Shriners.
