And the there were none! Who of you remember Punxsys three soda pop companies? During Dennys high school senior year, worked for the Jefferson Bottling Company, owned by John Kendra. Across the street and down the block , John and Justin Fleckenstein had Flecks Beverage. And the Deeleys of Anita owned and operated Anita Pop. How many of you drank these pops?

The former Merris Beef Company, in 1977, became the Discount Warehouse, with Humpty Dumpty sitting out front. The big gorilla ( not pictured) was on the porch roof of the Miracle Lounge in the back of the building. People knew how to be entertaining back then. Back in the 60s the building was Holdens Feed Store.
