If you intend to burn, please use caution and have resources handy to prevent the fire from getting out of hand.

Kisatchie Forest-The U.S. Forest Service has informed the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office of a controlled burn consisting of approximately 1886 acres being conducted today in the Kisatchie National Forest near the Caroline Dormon Trail.

Smoke may be observed in this and other adjacent areas.

FD 4 received a pageout this morning at 6:15 for a power pole on fire near Flora, LA. This is a live powerline line arcing.
If you see this type of event happening - STAY CLEAR! Wet ground can conduct enough electricity to cause a fatal event. Call 911 to have the appropriate agencies respond.
