Shutdown bound!

Not a whole lot happening in the shop this week… waiting on materials and parts to show up so I can keep moving forward on some projects. Waiting on other parts to be done at powder coat in order to move to the next phase.

That’s just part of it though — using the downtime to line things out, clean up the space, and get ready for when everything lands. Progress doesn’t always look exciting, but it’s still progress.

Development takes time.

It’s something I learned early on while working in high-level automotive R&D: build it, test it, break it, figure out why—and then build it again.

If it works, great. Now change it and see if it can work even better.

That cycle—design, test, refine, repeat—is how real performance is built. It's not the quickest route, but it’s how you get the best product possible.

A lot of folks stop when it “works good enough.” That’s not my approach. I’ll chase the best version of a product through every iteration it takes.

That’s the mindset I bring into every project—whether it’s racing, fabrication, or industrial work.

Before I was in pipe welding and industrial work, I got my start in the automotive world, working with world record-setting drag race teams, championship-winning off-road crews, and even filmed a TV show for SPEED Channel.

Due to the 2008 recession, I shifted into the industrial world—pipe welding, fabrication, and field work across oil & gas, RNG, and more. The scale changed, but the mindset never did.

Lately though, I’ve been finding myself back in the shop, back at the fab table, and kicking around some ideas in the automotive and off-road space again.

No major announcements (yet), but it feels good to revisit those roots—with fresh skills and a sharper eye.

Some weeks I'm under the hood welding 10+ hours a day. Other weeks, I’m chasing bids, doing paperwork, tracking down leads—and still putting in time on the tools.

Running a small welding business isn’t always easy, but I still love what I do. Grateful for the clients, contractors, and fellow welders who’ve had my back along the way. You know who you are. 👊

So... marketing is tough for me and my wife says I should post more to get more engagement ....

Truth is, a lot of the work I do is under NDAs, inside facilities that don’t allow cameras, and on projects where the best compliment is nobody ever knowing it was there to begin with.

So while I can’t always share the behind-the-scenes, just know the work is getting done—clean welds, tight tolerances, and built to last.

Anyone can do a 24” line replacement but, how many people have done it under a building with only a 30” crawlspace? We can check that box. Not only did we get it done, we had zero repairs and stayed on budget. Give us a call if you have a unique or challenging project, we can help!
