We’re excited to share that the site development plans for Magnolia Ridge Phase 1 and Magnolia Ridge West have been officially approved in Prince Frederick, Maryland.

COA Barrett provided civil engineering and site design services for both phases of this growing residential community, working alongside developer QBHI to advance the project through planning, design, and regulatory approval.

Magnolia Ridge West includes 79 townhouse units across approximately 26 acres within the Prince Frederick Town Center district, supported by a comprehensive site design that includes roadway infrastructure, stormwater management systems, utilities, and community open space.

Our team delivered full civil engineering services including site layout, grading, roadway design, stormwater management, utility coordination, and erosion & sediment control planning to support the project through the approval process.

We’re proud to partner with QBHI and contribute to a thoughtfully designed residential community that supports the continued growth of Prince Frederick and Calvert County.

We're proud to highlight our work on the Sunset Terrace Condominiums project in Solomons, Maryland.

Our team at COA Barrett provided the civil engineering services for the detailed site plan and supporting design for this mixed-use waterfront development located along South Solomons Island Road.

The project includes eight residential condominium units and a ground-floor commercial/retail space, designed to complement the Solomons Town Center district while maximizing functionality and environmental responsibility. Our scope included site design, grading, stormwater management, utility coordination, erosion and sediment control, and overall site development planning.

We're excited to see this project continue to move forward!

After many years of dedication and hard work, Dan Kelsh is heading into a well-earned retirement. His last day with us will be Wednesday, December 17, 2025.

Dan has been such an important part of our team, someone you could always count on for his knowledge, his consistency, and the way he genuinely cared about the work and the people around him. He’s made a lasting impact through his commitment, his experience, and the example he set every day. The place simply won’t be the same without him.

While it’s bittersweet to see him go, we’re so happy for Dan as he starts this next chapter. Retirement means new adventures, more time for the things that matter most, and a chance to enjoy even more tee time!

Dan, thank you for everything you’ve given over the years. You will truly be missed, and we wish you nothing but happiness, good health, and many great moments ahead.
